Moving to a new place, after 10 years 3, rue des martyrs (9th). Near rue du Faubourg Saint Denis and passage Brady: an indian/pakistanese/sri lanka/turkish/black/asian/white area. One of the last central Paris area to remain popular. I really hope that it won't change.
I have seen Bastille changing a lot when I lived there (1985/1988). I saw my street rue des Martyrs changing a lot between 1997 and 2007, becoming a beautiful little ghetto.
The new appartment was not renovated for about 50 years; it's a lot of work and stress, but a new home is about to take shape. We will be working there, creating hope for ourselves and hopefully for the others.
